a) No private teachers as invigilator in forthcoming HS and HSLC examination, 2026
The state government of Assam has recently came up with an important notification for the forthcoming HS and HSLC exam. It has been mandated that no private teachers will be engaged as invigilators in both the examinations. As per the honourable CM of Assam’s byte to the media personnals only government teachers will be entrusted with the responsibility of acting as an invigilator in the said two examinations.
Apart from the above mentioned change, there are some other crucial policy changes that has been mentioned by the CM. He also mentioned that the examinations will be conducted only in government institutions, private institutions will ne serve as exam centers in the upcoming examinations.
The reason behind this decision is because the government doesnot have any disciplinary authority over private institution’s teachers. In case of any irregularity or paper leak, the government doesnot have any jurisdiction over the private school teachers.
As per the CM, there will be no problem regarding the shortage of teachers as the government has recently recruited sufficient numbers of new teachers.
